The Atlas 1404zw has the capability to operate as a high ride or a low ride rail roader. Despite a maximum weight of 20 ton, the Atlas 1404Zw has a high lift capacity due to the intelligent rail bogie system that adjusts the pressure on the rail system as required.

The 20 ton class ensure the machine is easily transportable by truck to each job allowing the option to bring additional tools and equipment that are needed in the one journey.
